The department of Humanities houses a full- fledged Language Laboratory. The lab has Wordsworth software(installed in 2008) which offers a variety of functions such as recording for pronunciation practice, exercises, quizzes, test, result analysis of individual students, student monitoring, student – teacher chat etc. The lab is fully equipped with the capacity of 60 student/60 computers. It has projector, high speed internet connectivity, video conferencing, intercom and spatial arrangement to conduct monologues, drama, speeches, extempore etc. These are attended by the students of first year as well as students undergoing training for placements and Interviews. This specially benefits students who are deficient in English and also aims at confidence building.
Lessons and exercises are also recorded so that students are exposed to a variety listening and speaking drills. The language lab session also include word games, quizzes, extemporary, debates and skits.
